Overview:

Guildfordia yoka is a marine turban snail commonly known as the Yoka Star Turban. It is native to Japan, the Philippines, and northern Australia. One living specimen was found 100 years ago in a dredge off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco Bay and no individuals have been reported since. This species is characteristic of deep, soft-bottom sediments and little is known about its biology or life history.
