CA/Tomales Bay (Behrens 2004, as P. japonica); Shell Beach/CA/Tomales Bay (2007, Krug et al. 2012); Inverness/CA/Tomales Bay (2007, Krug et al. 2012); Shell Beach, Marin County/CA/Tomales Bay (2007, CAS-IZ 188552,California Academy of Sciences 2014) Philine orientalis were not found in 2007, but not 2008 (Newsom and Williams 2014).
