Campylaephora kondoi (formerly Ceramoium kondoi) is a red alga which has an erect axis, numerous branches, marked by darker cortical bands at the boundaries of cell walls. The branches end in curved, paired apices (tips), and grows to 70–150 mm tall. Its native range extends from Japan to the Bering Sea. A common habitat in invaded areas is floating docks and oyster farms. It was first reported from Kinzarof Lagoon, Alaska in 1987, and in British Columbia, and Oregon in 1995 and 1998 respectively. A single specimen was collected from a marina in Bodega Bay in 1999. This alga has been collected near ferry docks, oyster farms, pulp mill docks; sites not associated with international shipping. Instead, hull fouling and oyster transplants are likely vectors.
