Invasion
Invasion Description
1st Record: Cairns/Queensland/Trinity Inlet (2001, 'Presumed eradicated or died out', Baker et al. 2007, found on vessel hulls, buoys, and test substrates as late as 2004; not established, Stafford et al. 2007) There is no evidence of establishment of P, viridis, although hundreds of fouled vessels have probably visited northern Australia up to 2019. Bayesian analysis suggests that P. viridis cannot be considered a high-risk invader (Heersink et al. 2019).
