1st Record: Wassaw Island/GA/Wassaw Sound (2005-2008, Harding et al, 2011, in press, 12 whelks, epibionts on 8 nesting Loggerheard Turtles, Caretta caretta, 2.6-29.8 mm, probably derived from a nearby population, as yet undiscovered. The turtles hosted a dense community barnacles and bivalves, potential prey for the whelks)
