Invasion Description
Date of introduction unknown. "Espèce n'ayant pas son origine en Méditerranée, importée depuis des siècles. Présente dans toutes les régions tempérées chaudes et tropicales, surtout dans les zones d'activités humaines." (C. F. Monniot, in Food and Agricultural Organization 2000). [This species did not originate in the Mediterranean, but was introduced centuries ago. It is present in warm-temperate and tropical regions, primarily in zones of human activities.]
