1st estuarine Record? Santa Barbara/CA/Goleto Slough (1968, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2018). Gambusia affinis was introduced to southern California in 1922, and occurred frequently by 1930 in freshwater, but the date of the first estuarine record is unknown (Swift et al. 1993).
