NY/New Croton Reservoir (Hudson River drainage); NY/Hudson River estuary (1976, Bath et al. 1976, cited by Mills et al. 1997; Daniels et al. 2005; Waldman et al. 2006); Staten Island/NY/New York Habor (Kilry 1975, cited by Briggs and Waldman 2002), Philadelphia-Camden/PA-NJ/Delaware River (1977, Horwitz 1986); Bucks County/PA/Delaware River; mouth of U.S. Steel discharge ditch (off buoy 85) (1971, ANSP 172707, Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia 2014); Croydon/PA/Mouth of Neshaminy Creek 100 yds. upstream of Buoy 33, Delaware River (1972, ANSP 172704, Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia 2014); just upstream from Trenton/NJ/Delaware River at Scudders Falls (1982, USNM 395707, U.S. National Museum of Natural History 2014), Susquehanna River- Conowingo Dam/MD/Susquehanna River (1972, (McKeown 1984) Pesent in nontidal lower river (PA) by 1961 (Bielo 1962) Upper Bay Tributaries- is in 1949, for Perryville, Cecil County/MDPrincipio Creek (1949, U.S. National Museum of Natural History 1996); Northeast, Cecil County//MD/ Northeast River (Elser 1958). Mid-Bay tributaries- Edgewater/MD/Muddy Creek, Rhode River (1995-2013, Hines et al. unpublished, rare but regular). They were found in the watersheds of the Severn and Rhode Rivers (Kazyak et al. 1998). Potomac River- Washington/DC/Potomac River (1900, Jenkins and Burkhead 1993); Chain Bridge, Washington/DC/Potomac River (Bean and Weed 1911. 'occurs in very large numbers'; 2010, Starmes et al. 2011); Washington/DC/ nontidal waters of Rock Creek and Anacostia River (Lippson et al. 1979), Fort Belvoir/VA/nontidal creeks at Fort Belvoir, near Gunston Cove (Ernst et al. 1995). Rappahannock River - The first verified record in the drainage was in 1941 (Jenkins and Burkhead 1993); but it was not recorded in the estuary in a 1951 survey (Massman et al. 1952). In the 1980s, it was present in 1st order streams of the tidal region (Maurakis et al. 1987). James River- Introductions of 390 adult 'Sun-fish' were made by United States Fish Commission in 1901 (Ravenel 1902). The first verified capture of L. cyanellus in the drainage was in 1947 (Jenkins and Burkhead 1993)., Norwich/CT/upper Thames River estuary (1973, Whitwoth and Marsh, in Jacobson 1980).
