VA/Hog Island Bay (2000, Thomsen 2004; Thomsen and McGlathery 2006); It was the fourth most abundant macroalga in Hog Island Bay, VA, just north of the Chesapeake Bay's entrance (Thomsen 2004; Thomsen and McGlathery 2006).
