1st Record: Noank/CT/Fishers Island Sound (2005, Carlton, personal communication 2005)
1st non-established record: Milford/CT/Milford Harbor, Long Island Sound (stocked, 1949, spawning observed, Loosanoff 1955). No further definite records from Long Island Sound, until 2005. Recent occurrences are probably due to transport of oysters from the Gulf of Maine.
