1st record: Barcelona/Spain/Balearic Sea (Saiz et al. 2003) Identified by Dr. Shuhei Nishdia, University of Tokyo (previously reported only from the Pacific) (Saiz et al. 2003). However, the identity and distribution of small Oithona spp. is poorly known.
