1st Record: Hamlet, Marin County/CA/Tomales Bay (1948, USNM 91758, 91759 , Carlton 1979, US Museum of Natural History 2007) This gribble (wood-boring isopod) was long mis-identified as Limnoria lignorum- it was probably widespread on the California coast by the 19th century).
