Invasion Description
1st Record: AL/Mississippi Sound north of Dauphin Island and south of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in the area of Tall Range C. (around longitude 88 12.745) (2006, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2006). In 2011, catches of this shrimp in Gulf (Alabama-Louisiana) waters have reportedly 'exploded' (Michael Pursley, cited by Kirgan 11/16/2011).
